One of the friends on the POTN forum brought up the subject of a live birds of prey exhibition, in a little town upstate New York. I found myself interested in this event – I never saw eagles or vultures up close.

Lunch breaks are for….
It’s a slow Friday, the weather is perfect, and you’re stuck in the office. What can you do to get out and enjoy the weather? Right! You use the lunch break to go out and shoot (photos). And if you are lucky to work in New York, not far from Central Park, you even get a good location for people and nature shots. You don’t have to own a fancy dSLR, any camera would do.

Spring. Sunday. Japanese festival. (preview)
This weekend, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (which, this year, celebrates 100 years since it was found) hosted the “Sakura Matsuri 2010″ Japanese festival. This year, unlike previous years, the cherry trees were not in blossom at the same time as the festival, but this was not a reason to impede the festival.
I was there today, for several hours, and as a teaser, until I get to process all the photos I’ve taken, I will post just one of them. This dancer was performing the “Butoh Dance”.
